NCSCA Senior Clash

Greetings Coaches,

Hope this finds you well and safe.  Some unfortunate news to share regarding the Clash of the Carolinas.  Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, South Carolina has been forced to pull out of this year's Clash of the Carolinas.  We will renew the friendly cross-state rivalry again in 2021.

To help fill the void, we are excited to announce the "NCSCA Senior Clash" to be held in it's place.  This event will feature 4 teams (East/West/North/South) comprised of selected seniors battling it out for state supremacy.  The showcase will be held June 26th-27th at Cardinal Gibbons HS and WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary.  It's a great opportunity to recognize many of our seniors who have had their final high school season stripped from them.

Each region will select 18 boys and 18 girls and play in a semi-final on Friday night and a final or consolation final on Saturday morning.

The boy's teams will be selected from the 2019 NCSCA All-State team (Seniors only).  The 18 boys originally selected for the Clash of the Carolina's will be automatic selections for this event.

If you have a senior girl you would like to nominate, please fill out the nomination form found through the link below.  **If you have already nominated your player for the Clash of the Carolinas, you do not have to nominate them again.  All senior girls who made the 2019 Girl's All-State team as a junior are already eligible for selection.  Nominations will be open until Friday, April 24th.

Please understand, we are very hopeful this event will happen and are going to proceed accordingly.  But obviously, depending on how the pandemic plays out, there is a chance we may not be able to play.  A decision will be made at the appropriate time.

We look forward to hosting a great event and seeing everyone back on the field soon.
